Traditions and Innovations in the Formation of the Image of a Russian City in the Media: National Media View

摘要

This article is devoted to traditions and innovations in the cultural space of Russian cities. The author uses a notion of city portrait to analyze how national media cover cities’ life. A number of city details, a list of information sources and agenda are analyzed to find out if the image of a city could be an instrument of adaptating the innovations and saving local identity.
